ok now I've got an off-topic question
I've got a laserdisc player that will spin up, read the disc, and even jump between chapters of the movie, but the movie will be stuck in a loop, almost like a record that gets stuck. I've cleaned the clamps without luck, and I'm about to apply new grease to the ball bearing, but I don't expect that to be the fix. Is the motor work out and I'm fucked?
