i have no idea man it's been two decades now. i remember stealing batteries from the remotes all the time and my mom not exactly catching what was going on so there was always batteries around considering yknow like fucking everything used them between the stupid ass toys i played with and now the stupid ass electronic shit she was buying without really knowing what she was getting. that being said i have a love hate relationship with wireless xbox controllers today depending on whether or not i have batteries. good day if i have them in arms reach bad day if i have no fucking clue if there are more batteries. ive gone through phases of using rechargable batteries but my stupid ass can't stay consistent. motherfucking batteries!

Honestly I prefer the remake. Cuts some fat from the original and makes it less grindy. As a DQ fan it's my second favorite after III but it does feel like a commitment to do a playthrough.

Genuinely my favorite DQ game, love it from beginning to end. Just be ready for the length, I prefer to play it in the summer and on long breaks where I know I have time.

I feel a lot pf the changes are for the better. The intro is much shorter and the pieces for the also more annoying as there is no indication you're close to one and putting them in the tables is also more complicated. The job system is also more complicated as some skills involve cross mastering two classes. Personally I think the ps1 version does have better difficulty and there are some amusing lines lost in the 3ds version. In the ps1 version you can actually do party chat in battle which is a fun feature I liked.

I have to say DQ. Every DQ I played other then VIII hooked me from start to finish. For FF I have tried IV, VI, and VII, and I couldn't find myself completing any of them. With FF in my experience I find they start strong but kind of dwindle down as it keeps going. VI for example, has the world of ruin. The WoR is pretty cool as a concept but I found it pretty tedious and eventually lost interest.

DQ are just better crafted games I feel. Their simplicity and less serious tone allows for more creativity and focus on aspects other then just story and gameplay, which normally seem to be the focus of FF games.

Yeah but I never see anyone else who has it as their favorite. I get why, DQ is a high quality series with multiple great titles, just wish others saw in it what I do. From beginning to end I honestly love VII. I can't give you one section I hate.

I don't think it matters for every class actually. I know some classes like warrior can have like a 30-50 point difference in their stats between the female and male version but most aren't that huge.

Where are my fellow VIIfags at? I never see anyone here say it's there favorite.
