Hey /vr/, I have a question that doesn't deserve it's own thread.

I recently bought a dualshock2 + adapter online and I noticed that some buttons don't work (up, left, left triggers...). Upon closer inspection, I noticed that pin number 8 is missing.

Shop claims to test everything they sell (it's second-hand), they are full of shit right? Is this the behavior you would expect from that pin missing or is there a chance it might still be a software problem?
