Well, as I said, the tribal hunting/ship part hunting is a legit criticism, but I still think not bad enough to bring the whole game down. In the grand scheme of things, you only need to do that at the end of the game.
I also think the tribal hunting is actually kind of neat in a challenging way, because it often requires you to be careful in the way you shoot enemies, can't be too trigger happy. But the problem is that I think it shouldn't have been mandatory to beat the game. It could have been an extra thing for people who wanted to 100% the game, and maybe unlock some extra mode. The ship part is more of a drag because it's more cryptic, instead of challening. Although it still has some fun bits (like disguising as a drone and going into the club).
The good outweighs the bad IMO. If you don't like the game that's fine though, but it's a bit tiresome to see you pop up in every thread that mentions JFG and seeing you complaining about the "vomit color" nonsense. I like the way the game looks.

Jet Force Gemini and Blast Corps.
Also KI1 and KI2. A shame this collection didn't include the SNES version of KI1 though, visual downgrade, but the gameplay is intact and more balanced in that version (+extra modes and options).
Fuckers included KI Gold because they already had the N64 emulator due to having other N64 games, but were too lazy to add a SNES emulator for KI.

Can't speak for Perfect Dark, but JFG is so full of life.
I recommend, if you're ever going to revisit it, to change the control scheme to "Expert" mode on the menu. Improves gameplay severely.

Banjo wasn't bad.... but I agree, it's the one I liked the least I liked DK64 better, even

My favorite Rare games on N64 are by far Jet Force Gemini and Blast Corps.

And collecting their heads, that was a great detail.

People bitch a lot about the tribal rescue, but never talk about everything else great in the game.

I agree. At least controls-wise I don't think anything else comes close.
And yeah, music is amazing, and the graphics were impressive. Rare had mastered the N64's hard by 1999.

This and Blast Corps are my favorite Rare N64 games (and both were made by the same team, apparently).

Great game, my favorite Rare game on the N64 (along with Blast Corps).
