How hard exactly are Sonic 1 & 2 on the Genesis? I am currently catching up on platformers I never finished and recently play SMB3, which I think was just right in terms of difficulty. But I played the All-Stars version of it which has a save feature. As far as I know Sonic 1 and 2 don't have save features and the second game is an hour long. How difficult are they to finish? I don't think I could beat SMB1 without getting at least 2 or 3 game overs in the All-Stars version WITH the save feature.

Reason: Because i was my first game for the Mega Drive and the first game i have beaten in my life.

Why the fuck does the competitive 2-player mode use Splitscreen but the cooperative mode doesn't?

Sonic 2 was definitely the killer app of the Sega Genesis, selling more units than any other game on the system.

I've looked before, but I don't think there are any. All the SMB2 hacks I've ever played are all purely cosmetic.

Anyway, Sonic 2 always felt like a long road trip to me.
