Now that this game is getting so much more attention; what was your reaction to the ending when you first played it?

Now that's what you call soulful.

I felt like this game was lulling me into a false sense of security then hit with some really dark shit, but after finishing it, the game was like a charming bedtime story.

Klonoa did the same thing with arguably even more cutesy designs and pulled it off just fine. The problem is the writing and presentation.

Why the hell is the first Klonoa game is so damn expensive these days? Like, tf?! I wanna play it before the movie comes out, which is based on the first game.

I hear that pic related is pretty good. The U.S. version is expensive as fuck, though.

You gotta play this one. It's a 2.5D platformer where you move in a 2D plane in a 3D world, and you can interact with things in the background and foreground. One of the core gameplay elements is grabbing and throwing enemies, and you can also use them to double-jump.

It has great controls with a perfect jump-ark, good level-design, a superb soundtrack, and a solid, intriguing story filled with unexpected twists.

Mike Matei made a pretty good review of it, even though he does keep pronouncing "Phantomile" wrong and the first thing he talks about in the video doesn't make any sense. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6-_XxHDCi0

Can we please talk about this game? It's one of my favorite games on the Playstation, and whenever a Klonoa thread pops up, it always involves porn. I just finished 100%'ing the game collecting all dreamstones.
