Aren't Baldies, Space Ace, Dragon's Lair, and Myst better played elsewhere, though?

Anon, it could support fairly high resolutions out of the box, and LCDs weren't exactly rare when it came out either, though maybe not as common as they would be a few years later. Fact is, it was on an older engine that was close to the end of its life.

Hmm, should be good for games up to 2001 or so, at least some of them. American McGee's Alice, Clive Barker's Undying, Max Payne, Jedi Outcast and GTA VC (Vice City runs a bit better than III) would probably be the latest games I'd try on something like that, but late 90s games should be pretty fine. Unreal Gold, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Half-Life, Deus Ex, Soul Reaver, Fallout 2, Jagged Alliance 2, SWAT 3, Rainbow Six, Oni, Need for Speed III, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 and Interstate '76 are nice choices. I'd also recommend Jazz Jackrabbit 1, Duke 3D and Blood if that thing has any kind of Soundblaster support.

The partner-AI is completly idiotic, almost every level and weapon in the first level sucks (The Ultimate Gas Hands can stay, though)
The save system also doesn't really work for the kind of game it is either.

If you use the fanpatch that came out a few years ago you can remove the partners, or at least make them invincible so that they're not a nuisance, plus it changes the save system to the standard autosave/quicksave sort of thing you'd expect from a shooter from the time. After that you'll find that it's a bog-standard late 90's shooter with a basic level-up system and different weapons each episode.
