I could but you would say it's my shitty subjective opinion and because you grew up with it, it's a great game. And you're in the right, but the kid growing up with CoD or Halo or whatever who likes whatever he played is wrong.

It's comedy gold.

I'm almost done with pic related (100% on everything except the last world) and have 100%ed 2 and 3 in the past few months. My terrible opinion, in case you're wondering, is 2>3>1, because I really like the "platforming with side challenges" of 2 but 3 takes it too far and is obviously rushed while 1 has good platforming but weird controls for someone who played only 2 and 3 as a kid (that initial D charging...)

Anyway, let's have a thread about 5th generation collectathons/3d platformers. I've been using Spyro to calm down when other multiplayer games get me angry, but I'm out of Spyro. I guess I should play the Banjo series next, but what do I go to after that?

In addition to FF7, Spyro one of the best soundtracks on the PS1. While the sequels didn't come close to the level of perfection the first game had in this regard, they were pretty good too.

This gen of gaming I feel is very unique. It can provide a certain kind of gameplay that you just can't find in any other gen. What are your opinions on the 5th gen of gaming? Also which games do you feel are the best in their respective genres during this gen?

I feel pic related was the best platformer of the entire 5th generation of games.

handhelds and PC games of the time are also welcome here.

I showed my 3-year old nephew "Spyro the Dragon" and he didn't like.

I mean, he did keep watching me play it for most of it, and sometimes he yawned or walked away, but he didn't like seeing it at all.

What the fuck is wrong with kids these days? No appreciation for the classics at all. I'm writing him out of my will.
