Eh, I like the mechanics in X better, but the self-seriousness of the setting and storyline coupled with the increasing randomness of the developments eventually killed part of the appeal. Even for such obviously templated series, the classic Mega Man games are just more varied and distinctive in general for me and I just don't get the itch to replay X games in comparison.
