I don't understand why the west only got the one Slime game.

Yeah, 2005 is probably the best way to be sure.

The issue is that the PS2 outlived its fellow consoles, to the point of sharing a portion of its library with the Wii.

The soul is irrelevant to the gameplay. The truth is the level design was always a mixed bag at best and most stars, combined with the lacking level design, don't actually take into account Mario's expanded moveset. The only reason it's still fun to play is because while nothing too advance is required for any of the 120 stars, it is still oddly satisfying to navigate the levels.

Pretty much, which is why normal conversations like this are honestly uncommon in here.

>preserve every unit and save every village
well shit there you go. I guess if OP wants to play that way it's definitely a challenge, especially trying to save all the villages.
I'd imagine you might have to start maps over a few times because a save isn't far back enough to be in the ideal position or something though, and that might cancel out the whole "boring battles" complaint out of sheer time loss.

Where do you guys usually get your Saturn isos?
I use the usual places like Emuparadise but it seems like a lot of the rips are pretty old and glitchy.
However I could also chock it up to my shitty old disk drive but I thought I'd ask at least.

I recommend just emulating BSBES/Higan under RA. It's the most accurate SNES emu available.

Then you'd better have deep pockets and not give a shit, prices are retarded high, even Super Famicom stuff is climbing up there. Otherwise get a flashcart and maybe shell out for the dozen or so worthwhile special chip games that aren't supported by it.

Depending on when you grew up, this may have been due to how often she was referred to as "The Princess" in official and licensed media, such as SMW (ports/remakes referred to her by name). I remember Captain Lou Albano's Mario constantly calling her "The Princiss."

It seems as though my NES video output is slightly crooked. I thought it was the TV, but after messing with the cables the image got slightly better. I have an N64 hooked up on the same TV and it doesn't have that problem.

Wat do?

Yeah. It was largely momentum that allowed Nintendo to succeed in the handheld market.

In addition to that, handheld platforms have always had more success with the younger market, which Nintendo had / has a corner on.

Oh my god that is absolutely hideous

Why can nobody do a competent job of HD 2D graphics that don't look like they were upscaled in paint or drawn in Flash?
