True, yes they can, but is that good business practice? IIRC, sitting on overpriced vidya that doesn't sell isn't good business (just look at all the buy-it-nows on ebay that will likely never sell).
Not to mention that won't stop people from calling you an asshole when you disrespect your customers by refusing to haggle and pretend to know more just to appear as a selling authority.
tl;dr resellers are scum to the gaming community and the business community
