MML's lock-on doesn't function the same way at all. OoT's was designed for locking into melee combat where both the enemy and player will be moving around as if in a swordfight; MML plants Mega Man into place and there's not even a targeting reticle to indicate what it is you're currently locked on to. Again, it's specifically the OoT system, everything involved, that action games copied. If you can't immediately notice the difference in this webm, you're being dishonest.
