You see rennaisance styled amnish soldiers in BG1 in Nashkel. It's more the location than times changing. You don't see matriarchal societies where men are treated like dirt and live underground in the middle ages either

I know they reused monsters from IWD but they have all new backgrounds. Some seem to mesh really well while others stick out. I'll post some examples.
