Generally popular things are shit. People hate npc/sheep/bluepills/normalfags/invaders/newfags for a reason. They tend to ruin shit.

I'm pretty sure sony is developing retroarch or the bios would come with it in lakka. Sony has flashbacks now after all, so they are going to do what any kike'd shit would do now days and take shit down, like with how emuparadise turned to shit over the nes-mini.

Yes, other emulators back in the day used to not come with bios often enough, people are even afraid to host hacks on sites of roms even more than actual roms, but you don't need two computers nor the Internet to paste the bios in.

Is retroarch all linux users? No, but after the shitty UI plus the lakka experience I really have no time for the overly large file that is zoomerarch. Bloatware. First time I tried it was on an android years ago and it ran slower than any other emulator could. Was unusable. I've hated zoomerarch for years. Is android bad to begin with? Yeah yeah, but I'm just saying fuck zoomerarch. It's not even about zoomerarch. It's about how ever single time I ever 'upgrade' something in the past 10 or so years, probably more like 15 years, it's been a downgrade in general. Software, OS's, websites, the whole enchilada. If they still sold cheap win9x computers I'd be using them and I am pissed that I have to use winxp and win7.
