This is true for Final Fantasy, too. If you had any critical thought power at all you would notice the thematic identicalities between every Final Fantasy game and how they're all essentially the same story each time with minor differences and new irrelevant worldbuilding. At least Zelda has movement, physics, and manual combat instead of selecting text on a screen to make a lengthy animations play.

the movement mechanics were watered down top to bottom, not even actual analog controls could fix it.

a bunch of bad filler stages were added that no one enjoys.

every character was made worse than mario was in the original to pidgeonhole you into using all of them.

resolution is worse, looks like jittery pixelated ps1 shit.
