I just dont get it. Sure, random battles are a pain, and character polygons suck ass, but each character contributes something to the story in a relatable way. (except quina, fuck that man girl frog thing) my favorite ff by far.

What fifth gen RPGs are worth playing nowadays? I was a huge fan of SNES RPGs but lost most of my interest by the time FF8 came out. I've heard good things about FF9, is it one of the most underrated? Anything else to go back and play?
