I have to say that beating this game last year was one of the most satisfying things in a long while. Of course I was a pussy and had to use continues.

What I want to know is, that are the sequals as hard?
This first one is tremendous fun.

Adventure island, its pretty much become my favorite platformer despite being so simple. It's a funny when you realize you can play the whole game and never let go of forward, you can beat it by doing nothing but timing jumps. But even when you know this the game is so damn good at making you hesitate into your own death.
