Play more N64 games before hating it so much, anon.

I mean using the "fps" argument (which started mostly as a way to console/system war during 7th gen onwards, before that people used other arguments to console war). Of course I know fps was always a thing, there's also 3D games at 60fps, but what I mean is that using "uh, excuse me, this game is 30fps, therefore, it can't be as good" sounds like a disingenuous excuse.
GGA is precisely full of action, it's the most Castlevania-y Goemon game of them all, and it has a lot of interesting boss fights, and great levels full of challenge.
I agree it's way more focused on platforming than Taromaru though, but damn... have you actually played GGA? the night time levels are full of enemies popping up everywhere trying to rape you. It's definitely an action-platformer similar to Castlevania. The platforming itself is also pretty hectic and not slow-paced at all. I mean, it's not Sonic the hedgehog, but neither is Taromaru.

In practice too.
In general, N64's strength was 3D, Saturn's was 2D, and PS1 was FMVs.

I think it has to be Goemon's Great Adventure.
MNsG is amazing though, and I enjoy the plot and humor there more than in GGA, it also did that sort of 3D adventure style before Mega Man Legends and Ocarina of Time and in some ways I think it did better than them, or at least managed to have a really solid presentation and game pace, really memorable everything really.
But GGA goes back to the traditional side-scrolling style of the SNES games and I feel it's like, it incorporates everything that makes the Goemon games good into one solid package.

Nah, the 2D ones on PS1 are decent, don't hold a candle to the SFC ones, and the one 3D Goemon game on PS1 is straight up kusoge. I tried to like it, but nope.
