The amount of additional time you have to make game-changing decisions as you race to beat the rolling HP meter, as well as consideration for your own actions (use something "fast" that eats less meter rolldown? or use a "slow" attack with a longer animation?) is absolutely non-trivial. Highly recommended, especially if you're doing some kind of challenge run.

You did not get to engage with the game's mechanics properly because of how slowly and sluggishly everything in the English edition operates.
