First time I saw shadow's sprite in FFVI I thought it was a semi-racist looking black man.

I'm guessing the thing on his head was suppose to be a headband but to me it's looks like a face because of the colour.

dont feel bad. i couldnt see the switches in the pheonix cave and thus couldnt find locke all due to the max brightness being too low on this old crt. Also, tuns of other graphics were misleading to me, like where some of the enemy sprites eyes actually where and on shadows character sprite it looked like the orange was some kind of weird goggles he was wearing around his eyes because i couldnt differentiate between the blue and black colors beneath it
