The vast majority of roguelikes are ascii and terminal based and were developed back in the 80's and 90's (*bands and *hacks).
The roguelike general migrated from /tg/ to /vg/ 5 years ago and now is facing a crisis: it's simply too slow to survive on /vg/ anymore. Currently , thr thread needs a single bump injection every half an hour not to fall off the catalog, with a roguelike post every 1 hours on average (may fluctuate).
Thus most of the bulk of the general, ridiculously, is not roguelike related. This has started to create a discrepancy between content and the need to stay afloat in a sea of shit, lowering thread quality over time, to the point most regular players left, further diluting the wuality content.
Considering these things, a reloacation to /vr/ would fit the theme of the general, help the local roguefauna grow back to acceptable levels and improve improve thread quality consistently.
There might be some kicking and screaming, considering that most of thesr games are actually forks of the old 80's/90's games and are, dare I say, being actively developed in some cases. The source material remains firmly grounded in /vr/'s roots though.
That said, could it be possible to relocate to /vr/ where threads need to be bumped once a day instead of once every 20 minutes?
