I'm aware, tighter pitch and beam spot = less energy to emit light.
The D32 is an edge case though, any other PVM/BVM is calibrated to the 100cd/m2 spec, and 70cd/m2 is plenty bright for a 32" screen.
And if the point you're trying to make is that a flat panel with scanlines/filters can look just as vibrant as a real CRT, you're completely wrong, specially against cheap consumer CRTs.
