Man.

I thought I wanted all my consoles out and hooked up all the time, ready to go with the flick of a switch.

But maybe I'm just getting older but I think it looks terrible.

I don't mean to be mean or rude, but I think it just starts to look sloppy. Maybe its just that theres no normalization between the consoles, and the colours clash and when everything's hooked up it just becomes a haphazard mess of cables and managing power bars.

Mine setup is currently very similar to a lot of yours and it just reinforces my thinking.

I'm currently renovating, and I'm honestly considering just having 1 console hooked up at a time.

Then having the consoles stored away in boxes that I'd make that would be like Gun Cases. Wooden boxes (MDF probably) lined with foam inserts with cut outs so that the console, controllers, and cables all fit nicely away. Then its easy to just put them inside their box, then inside a hollow coffee table or line them on shelves and have minimal clutter. Then just having one dedicated power outlet and AV hookup spot that you swap out.

Maybe I'm just developing OCD. I'm really starting to hate clutter. Its not even like, wanting to offload my collection, its just I want my room to be clean and look sharp.

I'll go get a blog instead of rambling. I do think that the individual console cases idea is probably something I will do in the future though since I have lost controllers and cords and shit just from things getting unhooked and left around.
