No, Souls game don't have a dedicated jump button, or platforming design at all. They are 3rd person action-RPGs inspired by Ocarina of Time's Z-targeting and combat. It's also why I'll never understand why people insist on comparing Souls to Castlevania. Again, no jump button, no platforming.

Not really.

I never really understood soulfags' fixation with Castlevania, the games are nothing alike.

If I had to make a (non-serious) comparison, I'd say it's more like ghost n goblins, at least the main character wears an armor, but really souls games are 3rd person action rpgs and castlevania (and GnG) are action-platformers.

There is no platforming in Souls. End of discussion.
