I loved all the tanks. But it should be amazing to have the same kind of game in a WWII setting or a Girls und Panzer mod.

Considering it was an obscure japan only game that would be improbable. MM could have been inspired by Wasteland but I guess that's really improbable too. Also Chris Avellone liked JRPG's but I doubt he could know about MM, and he only worked in 2.
It's still surprising to see lots of details both games have in common, even the pipboy concept looks like directly taken from MM.

That movie is from 75, predates almost every modern post-nuclear concept. And it's amazing how it's basically Fallout: The Movie, ideas like the glowing ghouls or 50's retrofuturism were taken from there.
