bloodbath in strife is outright broken in gzdoom; the enemies just do the attack states more quickly in vanilla, but they also attack as often as possible in gzdoom

if he's playing on zdoom bloodbath, that's perfectly understandable :^)
vanilla strife doesn't have them constantly shoot at you, but this never got changed in zdoom because no one plays strife
