Does anyone else find the term "Metroidvania" to be annoying? First off it's probably the ugliest looking and sounding word ever created, but it mainly annoys me because I can't understand why Castlevania shares credit of a genre which was invented over a decade before SoTN copied it? Why isn't the genre called "Metroid-like" or "Metroid Clone"?
