I remember hearing a story it had to be closed down due to its open enrollment eventually opening the way for publishers like EA to gain the evidence needed to start litigation. It had to take the old ways internally and one would have to beg and perform favors to gain the trust for access to the brown version of the site. Last I heard they took that down too due to it getting too close to the sun again, there are less protections for such places these days.

I got it a while back. I think the new secret torrent site, which I am not a part of, has a more recent updated version of the torrent.
