I don't care how you feel about the hardware or games, but the Nintendo 64 is by far the best looking console of all time. Look at those curves! This baby is like a Porsche!

Is the difference between a PAL and an NTSC nintendo 64 worth the hassle of me ensuring safe power supply, and problems connecting to a locally sourced CRT - shall I ever buy one?
CRT for nostalgia purity of course, but I'm not sure yet.
How hard is it to turn NTSC into PAL60, and is PAL60 blurry on CRT's like it seems to be on flat screen displays?
I intend to buy an everdrive because although I have nostalgia for cartridge swapping, I can't justify the game prices.
Oh yeah, can't I just play NTSC roms on a PAL console with the everdrive?
I would also love the option to reset the console/everdrive without getting off my ass, any ideas to do that?

inB4 CRTs are better; I have HDTVs only and I mean no offense by having them

I want to be able to hook up my Nintendo, Genesis, SNES, and N64 (priority!) consoles to my HDTV. They all have A/V cables (YellowRedWhite). What is the best way to hook them up? My HDTV only has one row/set of component cable inputs. I thought about buying a source-selector box, but I have a couple'a scenarios:

>plugging A/V into a component in
Let's say the box is straight component only. I'll have a component cable from the TV to the box as the main source. I'll have my first device hooked up to one of the component options, and the other device hooked to another component options using the YRW cord BUT hooked into a component input. Would this work?

Or

>using an A/V option, but the box is connected to the TV via component
Let's say the box has both component AND YRW ports. I'll have a component cable from the TV to the box as the main source. I'll have my first device hooked up to one of the component options, and the other device hooked to a YRW option. Would this work?

I hope these aren't too complicated to understand. Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks.

Hello /vr/, I want to ask your opinion on something.

I was thinking about buying a second N64. Do you think 10 dollars is a fair price for one that doesn't have any controllers? Everything else is there..

I figured I could just hunt down a few extra controllers going to garage.

So what do you think?
