I bought a copy of 3D Game Creation System with my own hard-earned money. I was 12. I also bought 3D Gamestudio in 1995, then called (I think) ACKNEX-2. Had to order it from Germany. Could do more than the Doom engine, but was also a bit slower.

I still have both somewhere.
