>Is the character from Wonder Boy (Tom Tom), supposed to be the same character from Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Bocke)?

>Ryuichi Nishizawa: I'll leave it your imagination whether they are the same character. By the way, TomTom and Tanya are not the names that I originally gave them. They were initially called Bocke and Tina. Tom Tom may be the name given by Sega for the overseas editions.

There are already games with "strong female" characters (i.e. men with boobs and vagina) as a lead. Metroid for a /vr/-relevant example that's very well known.

Or another /vr/ game with a female protagonist I enjoy a lot is Layla on the Famicom.

Why doing this to games where the main character is supposed to be a young boy carrying in his shoulders a responsability several times greater than him? Why sacrifice a coming-of-age story, as fantasy-laden as ALttP is, in the name of feminazis?

There are DOZENS of other RPGs with female characters as well, hell. Play those and leave A Link to the Past alone.

I know there's the "47% or some bullshit percentage of gamers are girls", but those "girl gamers" don't go beyond fucking Candy Crunch or Farmville or Pet Fucking Rescue.
