Halo CE definitely has some amazing AI, particularly the elites. Every Halo game since has actually downgraded the AI over time. The difference between CE and Halo 2 is jarring in how nerfed elites were. Reach and Halo 4 are particularly bad as they had to make cuts in the engine for improved visuals and map sizes. But I won't say more regarding Halo as to not upset the residential geriatrics.
