I didn't know anything about the Quake series but
I bought a pc to play half life and at the same time, in the shop display there were the quake 2 boxes, and in game mags pics - and i just though

all one color and lame robomonster "stuff that's easy to do in 3D"
the rubber eraser looking smudged guns in the game mad pics looked even worse.
I only found out way later that quake 1 was actually good

Sweet, I'll give that a hoon. I'd be interested in any mods just to spice up this playthrough since I've already played Q2 so many times.
