This is why "Metroidvanias" should just be referred to as Metroid clones (What they actually are.)

SoTN copied Metroid, while adding its own Gothic aesthetic. In the same way SoTN fanboys just tagged on the vania to Metroid, and pretended like both were equally significant.

So yeah, for me its gonna be Super Castlevania.
