Are there threads about the various characters in Diablo 2 that Link gets? Hell, just OoT Link holds people's attention. People CARE about Link. No one gives a fuck about some random cunt you pick, or even Diablo himself. Ganon is far more interesting, and more badass.

That's what I mean about soul. People actually care about Uematsu and his songs. People care about Koji Kondo's work and where he got his inspirations.
No one gives a single fuck about the composer for Deus Ex or Duke Nukem or Diablo. It's background noise at best.
