oh cmon what were they gonna do, paint the entire original pokemon anime with the pokemon constantly resisting and hating their life as if they were wage slave price fighters? no the motherfuckers had to pretend pokemon are just retarded obedient soldier-type animals without consciousness who do everything humans ask of them without ever questioning it even if it means hurting themselves or their fellow species.

i do love the pokemon music but i can't unsee the implied horror of the long term consequences of being immersed in the underlying psychology of pokemon battle (war) and capturing pokemon (enslavement). the military industrial complex has probably recruited quite a lot of "talent" at pokemon tournaments.
