Anyway if we are looking for NES games that are actually hard we should be talking about something like The Adventures Of Bayou Billy instead of piss easy games like Mega Man 2. Then again 4chan is filled with normalfag kiddies who think that beating Contra without the code is impossible nowadays.

Anyway, people play NES for the same reason they play the other systems; they have a preference towards the system because they grew up with it and because of the games that are exclusive to the system. There are over 700 hundred games on the NES game library instead of the Super Mario games being the only games on the system like OP apparently thinks and NES has shitloads of games that are exclusive to it like the Guardian Legend, Little Samsom and Shatterhand not to mention all the lesser known games not even the people who have played the system all their life know about.
