>No shit, that actually works?
Absolutely, but don't expect to get great reception unless you live extremely close to the broadcast towers. Luckily, I do, so I can pull 36 channels with just a paperclip. It’s only temporary until I get a better antenna upstairs. The one I have hooked up downstairs on my 4K TV pulls in around 70 channels over the air.
>I dunno, I just always feel like I'm wasting a shitload of time having ads shoved in my face whenever I'm watching broadcast TV when I could just watch most of what I want uninterrupted through other sources.
That is totally fair and honestly very accurate. The only thing is, over the air TV is free and convenient. Plus, it has a nice “retro” feeling when being displayed on a CRT

Interesting, I'll look up the brand. Do you know the model number?

>it's this thread again
Fuck it, I'll join in.
>Is it hoarding?
>idontthinkthatwordmeanswhatyouthinkitmeans.tga
"hoarding" video games would be buying every game you came across, regardless of weather or not you had a copy already; Filling entire rooms of your home with games; Floor to ceiling with boxes of games, buying for the sake of buying, even when it negatively affects your quality of life; Dirty, disheveled, unkempt piles of vidya with no organization. And not playing them. _THAT'S_ hoarding.
>OP's pic
A single room; Clean, organized, sorted and marked by system. No duplicates, or a few because of certain reasons. This is a "collection", or a "Library". Literally no different than a library of books. If you entered a home library of books, would you accuse the owner of being a hoarder? No, that'd be stupid. You can't read every book at once, and just because you've read a certain book once does not mean you'll never want to read it again, so you have all of your books in one place, where you can read them when you see fit. A. Fucking. Library.
I'm in my mid-thirties, I've been buying vidya for decades, and while I don't have anything like OP's pic, I have a nice stash. Should I get rid of it all because I'm not playing all/most of it at any given moment? Besides, why give a shit about someone else's physical collection? The software's just 1's and 0's, the magic lies in the console's hardware, and even that can be mimicked in many cases. Either emulate, or get a flash cart, and you can play all of those games yourself.

OP is, as always, homosexual.

I'm heavily considering doing this.
As much as I'm a materialistic bastard who loves pulling an actual cartridge out and thumbing through the manual, I'm also a poorfag who ultimately just wants to play some mother fucking video games. I bought a mega everdive x7 for my genesis last year, the thing's pretty sweet. I've been buying old games and shit for over twenty years, and while most of my stash is pretty common/uninteresting stuff, I do have some good shit too.
I've got a mint copy of Snatcher for the Sega CD that I paid 3 bucks for BITD, that alone would probably sell well enough to buy multiple flashcarts/ODEs.
My best though is that I have one of the Super Starfox Weekend competition cartridges, guess those go for over a grand. I paid 10 bucks in a flea market, so that'd be a nice profit.

The only thing holding me back at this point is all of the God-damned fucking sucking scammers on ebay these days. I'm scared shitless of selling one of the above and getting mercilessly shafted by some mouth-breathing geek. Ebay is to busy sucking china's tiny little dick to help anyone with an issue, paypal's gotten just as bad, and the ne'er-do-wells know it. The shit I've been seeing on there these says is fucking awful.

But yeah, if I can do it without getting shafted, I'm just about ready to sell my old stash (and a bunch of other shit) and use the proceeds to refit my hardware with pirating gear. Just wish terra onion would get their disgusting mystery-meat asses in gear and make more super sd system 3's, or preferably someone else more competent could make something. I'd love to get into the TG16/cd stuff.
