Princess Crown is fun, but very repetitive. Also, being forced to play as characters other then Gradriel also ruins it a bit.

Add a skill system, more enemy and level variety, more music variety and let us play as Gradriel for an entire game and it would have been sweet.

Finally, I can play all these expensive ass games that I never could before.

So let me get this straight, I do the disc-swap once, use this thing and then after that I can just burn CDs and play them? Does the action replay have to be inside the Saturn during boot only?

I already played it (and can read it) but I played the shitty PSP port and want to replay it on my Saturn. Prices are pretty damn high though.

Haven't played them yet. And Princess Crown is very fun but it's kind of pricy compared to most Saturn games I found.

It'd be a lot better if we only played as Gradriel. The other books were so damn boring. And yeah, I noticed most Vanillaware games have interesting stories and great artwork and music but tend to fall short on the gameplay department.

I'd say you do need, since there's a lot of talking with villagers for clues as to where to go next or what to do.

I'd appreciate if I had some more moves to spice things up a bit but the combat is pretty damn solid. The items add variation but I just end up hoarding items anyway because I figure I might need them later.
I also just got my ass handed to me in this one dungeon that has nothing but goblins that can make you drop items or the annoying ghouls. Fuck.
