I tried what you said. Hooked up a snes and my PC running higan (supposedly better than bsnes) to my CRT and I played some SMW.

Yes, the video difference is negligible (although I can still notice it) and higan's audio emulation is great.
The problem is, can you guess? Latency.
Not on the pc monitor, mind you. The problem is once I Iook at the image outputted to the tv screen through my video converter. I get some input delay. It's not a meme. Unless there's some settings or special video converters I don't know about.
