I can't be the only one who thinks all AAA games for the last 10 years has looked objectively trash.
Hair always looks unnatural. Everything clips. Colours are always washed out. Textures are always strangely muddy. Minute details fold over on themselves and only get more jank the more fine they become.
The odd game that comes with an actual style can curb this but they always come with their own problems anyway. ("cartoony multiplayer shooter" = eye vomit)

The original doesn't but the DX version does.

One game is an overly ambitious launch title from 1998/1999 with obvious flaws but for it's time it was a pretty good game. The other is a 2003 cash grab that does nothing to fix the flaws and instead splurges on bad plastic surgery to give the illusion that it's an improved game without actually improving anything, in fact it's actually worse and your better off playing the original. Why Sega insists on constantly re-releasing the plastic surgery infested "remaster" is beyond me. My theory is they lost the original code for Sonic Adventure and the DX port is the only surviving version of Adventure they have. Wouldn't surprise me considering the same happened with the Saturn version of Panzer Dragoon so they had to use the PC version for Orta.
