>Is the PS1 240p?
It literally depends on the game and some games switch resolutions depending on if you're in menus, etc
For example Ridge Racer 4 and Silent Hill run in 240p in-game but 480i in menus. Tekken 3 runs in 480i at all times from what I remember

>The increasing complexity of developing games pushed cartridges to their storage limits and gradually discouraged some third-party developers. Part of the CD format's appeal to publishers was that they could be produced at a significantly lower cost and offered more production flexibility to meet demand. As a result, some third-party developers switched to the PlayStation, including Square, whose Final Fantasy VII, and Enix (later merged with Square to form Square Enix), whose Dragon Quest VII (2000) were planned for the Nintendo 64. Other developers released fewer games for the Nintendo 64 (Konami, releasing only thirteen N64 games but over fifty on the PlayStation). Nintendo 64 game releases were less frequent than the PlayStation's, with many being developed by either Nintendo itself or second-parties such as Rare

>Would the Amiga have been taken more seriously as a game platform if they'd made an actual controller for it instead of just a joystick?
The vast majority of PC players didn't use controllers back then and it wasn't a problem so you're gonna have to find something else to blame for the death of the Amiga

>What if Sony or Nintendo didn't exist
>What if FF7 was a Saturn exclusive
>What if it somehow launched a year earlier and cost half as much
>What if the 32X wasn't a thing
>What if Naka hadn't had autism with his Nights engine
>What if SoA/SoJ shitflinging etc
>What if the Saturn was a completely different console with completely different games it never had and every single circumstance around it were different

I don't understand this logic where you can't be a fan of a franchise if you don't think the first game is the absolute best in the entire series. That's like saying you don't like Sonic if you prefer Sonic 2 or 3&K to Sonic 1. Or saying you don't like Mario if you prefer SMB3 to SMB1

>PlayStation has no answers for DecAthlete or Virtual On
Literally doesn't matter at all when it has games like Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy, Tekken, Crash Bandicoot and Metal Gear Solid

Completely delusional. Yes VF2 was popular when it released but everyone stopped giving a fuck about Virtua Fighter in general when better 3D fighters like Tekken 3 and SoulCalibur came out. Nobody has given a single fuck about VF since 1998

Yeah... I'm a big Sega fan but even I have to admit the SMS doesn't sound great, even with the FM sound unit they sold in Japan. The NES certainly sounds a lot better, but the Genesis sounds better than the SNES

>Plasma was better
My parents bought a plasma TV in the mid 00s and sure, it looked good but the burn-in is real. I've never seen burn-in this bad on any display in my entire life
