Well my gripe with it is that when you're heading towards a hole sideways and start falling, you're suddenly forced to move forward. No problem with the rest of the game though, it's great.

this is gonna come across as heresy to a lot of Doom2 players but for my money Marathon 2 had the superior shotgun. it was double-barreled AND lever-action despite that making no sense, you cocked it with a sick one handed flip Terminator-style, it did about as much damage as a nuclear cruise missile dipped in AIDS, it had actual recoil and a great sound, and you could dual-wield it really really fast.
