You're only proving my point though. There's no way to know how the designers of the NES Metroid intended Samus to look like out of armor, given the lack of any tangible concept art.

People who bitch about Samus not being green-haired anymore are hipsters/poseurs who only know about her because of the Justin Bailey passcode (a proven fluke by the way) and not because they fulfilled the actual requirement to unlock her.
