It's oblique tedium to learn this game. You can't continue (they added level select only in the home versions) so to figure out the game in its entirety, you'll probably play through the first few levels hundreds of times... just for the progression to get to the fucking final levels for the sake of developing strategies.
There's "make money with this game" and there's "make money because you'll choose to play something else in the arcade". Gradius III ARC is the latter.
