that's just how it works. has more to do with TVL. Look at Rami's ears and see how the bright white ears have blooming, the blank line is still visible but much less so compared to neighboring colors. To me this is a defining aspect of CRT and does make me favor shadowmask over aperture grille. A lower TVL AG will still have visible blank lines but less blooming, even at smaller sizes (to an extent obviously.)
