Hi /vr/, this is one of my favorite games ever and I don't see any discussion of it. Anybody else fucking love this game?

Info:
This is a fantastic shooter by LucasArts (RIP) based on a modified Quake 2 engine, with a great single player campaign including full motion video cutscenes and fantastic level designs. The multiplayer is also excellent, featuring a decent set of guns (the Rail Detonator in particular is still my favorite FPS gun, though most of the weaker guns are very forgettable), very exciting (if simplistic compared to JO) lightsaber fights, challenging Force mechanics (basically spells -- lightside has things like Healing, Invisbility and Protection, darkside has Force Choke, Force Kamehameha, etc, as well as neutral force powers like jump and speed)
It's available on Steam for like $15, and if you decide to pirate it, you're fine getting the clean isos because patching it is just a matter of moving a file from the install cd to the game directory (google it for more info).

There's a couple of sites centered around this (and its sequel, Jedi Outcast) such as massassi.net (the classic) and jkdf2.net, but actually getting an online game with someone these days involves waiting in poorly-trafficked IRC channels for hours. If anybody is interested, I'd love to set a time tonight or tomorrow to run a server and get some sexy sexy FF Canyon Oasis in.

This game also had an incredibly rich modding/mapping community, including lots of classic maps like Drazen Isle, Jedi High School, Caesar's Palace, etc. There's a small group of mappers for this game still, who are doing some incredible stuff and really pushing the engine. massassi.net has a huge collection of custom SINGLE PLAYER maps too, which I believe is pretty rare for the genre.

Does this game still hold up today or has it aged too badly to be enjoyable?

If it does hold up what mods if any can I install that are worthwhile?
