I don't think anyone on /vr/ complains that Brutal Doom is "too hard", what people complain about that it's a feature bloated, overdeveloped mess that's past it's prime and should have been finished up years ago.
Common complaints from here include:
>redundant shit that serves no purpose (too many fucking weapons)
>poor aesthetics
>objectively bad sound design
>really fucking shoddy and tangled up code
>Mark generally being a bad person (as he's recently shown again)
>"You're a good mapper, why don't you stop running BD into the ground and instead make a really good mapset?"

I mean people here play mapsets like Going Down and Sunder, which don't take it easy on the player (Sunder especially), Plutonia is decently liked, Skillsaw's mapsets (Ancient Aliens in particular), are praised greatly, and a few guys even play Hideous Destructor, which is FAR more challenging and difficult than Brutal Doom can even hope to be.

It's almost like Mark is a salty little bitch.
