Woah, nelly! It's one of their best games IMO, you should try it again for sure. It's not even as difficult as it first seems, you just need to understand the controls and which weapons to take.

One tip that may help you is understanding Counter Force, you need it use it often to negate bullet damage, and to refill your Zero Teleport gauge. So you soak and some more bullets and save up a Zero Teleport for the next boss and so forth.

Other than that it's working out which weapons are best for which bosses, all six weapons have strengths and weaknesses.
