I disagree, watching 3D evolve abd come into it's own has been very interesting, but to each their own.

On a related note, fir 1982 I submit MS Flight Simulator. In stills it doesn't look all that amazing, but the hud being all working instruments and the play area being a huge open 3D environment that you got to fly around looked incredible.

Fuck yes it was. Except a lot more fun than the real flight simulator which I also played a fair bit of but was pretty tedious.

It moved at like 3 frames a second probably, but in 1985 just flying around was amazing.
